Global Witness responds to the death of environmental activist Paul McAuley

Global Witness expresses its deepest sadness at the sudden death of environmental activist Paul McAuley in Peru, where he’d lived for decades. A committed and passionate activist who fought tirelessly and peacefully for indigenous people and for the protection of our global environment and forests, his death must be immediately investigated. We send our condolences and support to his family and friends at this difficult time.
