We’re looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join our Oil, Gas and Mining team which is part of our Corruption strand.
About the role:
You’ll play an instrumental role in advocating for U.S. policies to tackle corruption in the oil, gas and mining sectors and supporting our ground-breaking investigative work in this area. This will include carrying out advocacy with key policymakers, conducting research and analysis and developing – policy, legal and media strategies to advance campaign objectives.
As an experienced advocate with an ability to think strategically and innovatively, you have executed campaigns to influence government policies and corporate practices. Ideally you will bring with you some knowledge of corruption and/or the extractive industries, and some experience using litigation as an advocacy tool. Legal background is desirable but not necessary.
You will be able to develop persuasive arguments and promote our work through a variety of channels. As a team player, you will have excellent interpersonal skills needed to bring together the diverse perspectives of a broad range of people (civil society, government, business and other NGOs) to ensure that meaningful change and impact is achieved and communicated.
