IFM Feasibility Study in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

Global Witness conducted a three month Feasibility Study on Independent Forest Monitoring (IFM) in the DRC, from August to October 2007. The Study aimed to evaluate the management of forest resources management currently undertaken, the nature and extent of illegal logging in some selected ‘hot spots’ of the country’s forest estate as well as the functioning and performance of the forest administration’s control system.
